Bernhard Pucher aka B-Pushr has been immersed in electronic music since the late ’90s. Starting out in Vienna in 1996 as both a DJ and producer, he later moved to Dallas, Texas, where he was exposed to new styles ranging from industrial and breaks to hard techno. In 2000, a pivotal collaboration with Eric Estornel (Maceo Plex, Maetrik, Mariel Ito) introduced him to minimal, deep house, and electro, leading to the launch of his label Iron Box Music in 2001 and a harder-edged take on minimal influenced by his industrial and heavy metal roots.
Between 2001 and 2004, Pucher released over 13 records, plus numerous remixes, on imprints including Ai Records, Substatic, Spectral Sound, Ware, Onitor, Poker Flat, Immigrant, and Iron Box. His reputation grew as he carved out a unique sound within the global techno community.
In 2008, he stepped away to pursue a flourishing film career, directing multiple music videos for Maceo Plex and building a presence on Instagram with documentaries about techno, records, and DJ culture. By mid-2025, he returned as B-Pushr, performing vinyl-only sets with his signature style and producing new tracks for release in 2026.
